Today's Workout- HIIT on the Elliptical

This morning I woke up early to do HIIT (High Intense Interval Training) on the elliptical. For those who don't know how HIIT works, it is intervals of medium work to very high intense work. It usually is 2 parts of medium work with one part of high intense training. You can do it however you would like, but today I did it on the elliptical for 25 minutes.

Today's Workout- Hill Run

I wasn't gong to work out today but I was sitting around at home and thought I might as well! So, I went on a quick 3 mile run. It had that huge hill I like, so I felt like I got a great workout!

This video is a little corney (like who checks a heat index?) but I thought some of it was helpful with the temperature rising. I have noticed my runs have become a little more difficult in the heat, so I am hoping to help the other runners out there...

Today's Workout- Beat the Bridge!

This morning I ran Beat the Bridge! I have always volunteered or walked the event, but this is the first time I have actually ran the 8K race. I did pretty well. I finished it in about 43 minutes. For my first race, I am proud of it.

Tuesday and Today's Workout!

My computer was broken for a couple days, so I missed my Tuesday work out!

Tuesday I took a 45 minute shadowboxing class and a 15 minute ab  class

Today I went on a great 6 mile run with Breanne and Eddie. We brought up the pace and it was great! Felt really good!

This morning I woke up early and ran the Lake Union Loop. I changed up the run a bit and ended the run with a steep gradual run. It felt good to run over 6 miles in great weather!

Today's Workout- Shadowboxing, Abs and Run!

Today I went to the gym and did a Everlast shadowboxing class! I haven't done this class in a long time, so I was really excited about it. It is half punch combos, half boot camp. Lots and lots of burpees, push ups and mountain climbers! After that class, I did an ab class. Then when I got home, Eddie wanted to go on a run, so I went on a short run. It was a good fitness day!

45 minutes Shadowboxing- 400 calories
13 minutes ab class- 94 calories
20 minutes run- 215 calories

Today I went to the gym for a great spinning class. I got there a little early, so I got to do some serious stair stepping before hand.

Today's Workout- LONG walk and Bikram!

I took both Thursday and Friday off, so I decided to make today a fitness day!

Breanne and I decided to walk from my place in South Lake Union to Ballard! Eddie and I bought a house in Ballard and I thought we should go walk to it! We walked to my new home, then all around downtown Ballard. It was a long, great walk besides that on the way home it was raining the whole time!

After we got home from the walk, we decided to go to Bikram class. It was a great class. It was a little hotter than usual, so it made it a little difficult. Really challenging, which is always good!

3.5 hour walk- 944 calories burned
Bikram- about 600 calories burned
