How I Got Fit!: Fantastic Article

I found this a great article on Runner's World. Short and sweet, and I completely identified with it.

Welcome to My Journey!

I started this whole adventure in November 2007.

I never thought of myself as "fat". I knew I was out of shape, but to tell you the truth I didn't care. I was the chubby kid, always have been. I really thought that was just the way I am. I didn't work out in high school. I tried Cross Country one year and finished last every single race, besides once because someone else didn't finish.

I went to college and did the opposite from taking care of myself. I ate fattening sorority food and drank... A LOT. I came out even "chubbier".

Around November, I don't know why, but I can only explain it as a "wake up call". I seriously woke up one day and realized I didn't want to be like this my whole life. So I started working out. I started using the elliptical for 20 minutes and was barely being able to make it.

Now, I am working out almost every day and obsessed with making myself as fit as possible.

Since then, I've lost about 45 pounds and 4 jean sizes. I feel phenomenal!

You'll be able to read my frustrations and accomplishments. And hopefully I can help to motivate you too!
